The Third Eye Collection

Sometimes you just don’t want what everyone else is sporting. I came across this amazing eyewear collection over the summer while exploring the Moooi Showroom in Amsterdam. The future looks bright with The Third Eye Collection’s line of high style shades. Sunglasses that are designed with a new level of creativity and detail. This is exactly what you get when Dutch designer Marcel Wonders from Moooi teams up with the Korean eyewear brand, Gentle Monster. The design is influenced by the Egyptian hieroglyph drawings, which feature an ‘O’ symbol connected to the human eye. The Trinity, Divinity, Infinity, and Sincerity are the four styles under the The Third Eye Collection. The mix of materials, shapes, colors, and experimental design are indeed fashion forward. But they are not too out of reach for those that are a bit bored with the more traditional eyewear. Have some fun with your style. Seriously! The autumn light deserves some fun eyewear this season. As I was searching for some inspiration for possible new sunglasses, I came across style icons Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway in The Thomas Crown Affair (great movie and will watch again on my upcoming trip). Not only the eyewear but the fisherman sweater, trench, headscarf, and neutral tones have me thinking they exude cool, perfect style. These pics also reaffirm that all these pieces should be in everyone’s wardrobe. They are timeless and classic. What else can I say? I just recently checked off the fisherman sweater and love it. I will be trying on the SM iconic style Persol’s 649- Originals as well as the ISBA from Oliver Peoples. Trenches and scarves, every stylish designer has their take in this department. So find your favorite and it will be worth the investment.

Stepping Into Spring OOTD

City living and keeping the look fresh and light is the goal. Who doesn’t love the sweet spot before the summer temps strike?! Yesterday’s look was all about being able to properly chill in the park. Spring and all its glory is giving everyone a reason to dress with pops of color. Darker tones can have a much deserved timeout.

I have now owned mine for over a year. They have been tossed around not to test their claim but that is just what happens with sunglasses. I am happy to report that mine are still in their perfect scratch free condition. OTIS gets you excited for the sporty days of summer.
