Have to share this one. Thrilled to know Boston is representing with not one but two stores on HIGHSNOBIETY’s list of the best sneaker stores around the world that you can access from your favorite device. Concepts which opened up in 1996 in Cambridge and Bodega who opened their hidden Boston gem in 2006. I am lucky enough to visit both of these stores in person but the others I can only admire from their websites and social media channels.
To all you sneaker lovers out there, I think you will appreciate HIGHSNOBIETY’s leg work as much as I do. isostilo recently explored Kith (on this list). This is definitely where all the cool kids are shopping in NYC. It is no longer just for the jet setters to hit the hippest places for kicks. Check out the list!
Sneakers are here to stay and isostilo is a fan. Just look around the next time you walk down the street, flip through a fashion magazine, or witness the sneakerheads that are waiting in line for a current drop. You don’t need a reason to wear them. They give an instant refresh and let us not ignore the comfort they deliver.
You may not love the current ugly dad sneaker but that is not your only option to be a player in the sneaker world. What is your style? Sneakers range from bold, subtle, classic, sleek, to sporty. All the classics are back and they are not slowing down with their releases. isostilo is a bit biased towards Nike and adidas. Their prices are within reach and their styles are always on point. There are plenty of players in the field. Check out isostilo’s round-up from Net-A-Porter. Prices swing!

Sometimes a little style inspiration is needed to embrace a season change. It is hard to ignore the inbox that is filling with tag lines of Fall Fashion. I peeked to see what I could find on Net-A-Porter for a few versatile pieces that could make slipping into Fall a bit more fun. Keeping it simple for those in between days is the key to easy dressing. All pieces from Net-A-Porter.
Be it poolside, beach strolls, or city walks, you can find your summer stride with Soludos. Loving their refreshing spin on the classic espadrille. Summer footwear that you can slide into and wear with anything. Making it effortless as you walk out the door. Soludos is based in Soho, New York with travel as their inspiration to creating shoes and accessories for your everyday life adventures. They are thoughtfully designed with comfort, price, quality, and personality. Soludos have taken something basic and raised their game with a playful twist. I have the black slides and love them. They are just easy and neutral.
City living and keeping the look fresh and light is the goal. Who doesn’t love the sweet spot before the summer temps strike?! Yesterday’s look was all about being able to properly chill in the park. Spring and all its glory is giving everyone a reason to dress with pops of color. Darker tones can have a much deserved timeout.

Spring is in full bloom at the new Converse retail store connected to the new Converse global headquarters at 1 Lovejoy Wharf in Boston. The minimal, clean, and hip space is stunning with sunlight streaming through the large glass windows. Very cool! It is well laid out showcasing kicks in pastel colors, track suits, and basics of t-shirts , sweatpants and joggers. You can head to the Blank Canvas to customize your sneakers or t-shirts. Converse welcomes you to engage with the products and get creative. One of my favorite reasons to head to Converse is to play at the Blank Canvas. I have designed my son’s past two birthday gifts at the old Newbury Street location with a unique customized t-shirt. Unfortunately the printer is currently under repair. But I did get to explore the new space and products. There is also a nod to the Boston Celtics with NBA x Converse Franchise Collection with Chuck 70 high tops paying tribute to local heroes. The TD Garden is a stone’s throw away. So be sure to pick yourself up a pair of screen printed leprechauns and clovers for some good Boston luck . After visiting the store, take a stroll along the waterside and enjoy a panoramic view of the Zakim Bridge. Converse could not have asked for a more stunning urban environment.
Converse @ 1 Lovejoy Wharf, Boston
I love the new home of Converse. Sorry to say farewell to Newbury Street. The one downside to the new location is that there is no parking so I highly suggest public transportation. At the moment the Converse store is more of a destination with not a lot around it. But hang tight knowing Boston is exploding with new neighborhoods everyday. Plan your outing on a spring or summer day so you can stroll along the waterfront and take full advantage of the waterfront setting. Maybe head to the North End for lunch. There is cafe at Lovejoy Wharf so be sure to grab a coffee or whatever you fancy to get you to your next stop.
A total errand day! Getting ready for a weekend in Vermont along with some Easter bunny duties. The sun was shining and the weather had me in a pickle. I questioned the temperature would reach high 50’s but it is spring and I was optimistic. I went with layers. Super easy to peel off as the day warmed up. I have been committed to breaking out some old goodies from my closet and yesterday was the perfect day to for a spring friendly knit sweater. The sweater was the piece and the rest was easy. Paired with a current denim style that has a fuller leg, a stripe top (stripes always in style), white kicks, and finished off the outfit with an on trend piece, a cloth bag. I went with a denim on denim look but could have easily gone with a trench jacket.
Creamy sweater from ANNELORE. It is all about the details! A feminine top layer piece that is just lovely!Stripes anytime from Mads Norgaard. This is a basic piece for me. Simon Miller jeans are also a staple and in heavy rotation these days. The watch is my husband’s, Tag Heuer Carrera 1964 reissue. It’s my new love to sport.Denim on denim with Acne Studios oversized jacket. I bought this a bit bigger for a slouchy look and to layer over sweaters. I like how the denim adds some edge to the sweater. Hey no beanie on that girl!On my second pair of my Comme des Garcons x Converse kicks. Everyone needs at least one pair of white sneakers. I actually like them more when they get broken in and a bit dirty. Gives them character. Little pom pom socks for some extra fun.Cloth bags are sweet, fun, interesting, and lightweight. Also the easiest and inexpensive trend to add to your style. I love the red and white gingham. It’s spring baby and the sun is out!Wishing you all a happy weekend! Tulips for everyone on this long holiday weekend xo
The ANNELORE sweater was from the good old days when Louis Boston was on Newbury Street. I loved this store for their curated selection of merchandise. They were hunters of upcoming brands along with bold designers like Dries Van Noten. Each floor was beautifully arranged. It was a place to explore and a paradise for fashion mavens.
More sneaker porn! I have to admit my husband has a good eye for finding men’s basics. A few years ago he in his mind had found the ultimate score with Greats! Greats is a men’s and women’s sneaker company from Brookyn, New York by the two genius founders, Ryan Babenzien and Jon Buscemi. They hatched their original plan in 2007 but didn’t launch their brand until 2012. They wanted to offer very high quality sneakers at a reasonable price through a vertical system that would allow them to design, produce, and sell direct to consumers. No retailer mark up. Sounds too good to be true, right?! But they are doing it and crushing it!
Asif is a huge fan. He thinks that Greats is the sneaker must have for all guys. The style of Greats is simple, subtle, stylish, and clean. They are understated, cool, and not in your face. Think Vans meets Common Projects and meeting in the middle on price. My sneaker loving husband loves The Wooster and The Royal Classic. In fact my father-in-law, brother-in-law, and brother have all been gifted Greats. Ladies next, please!
So with all this Greats obsession, Asif is convinced that the women’s styles would be right up my ally. But it hasn’t been till now that I think I’m ready for some Greats! Maybe it is due to my sneaker love affair and my new foot issue. Sneakers are so easy to wear in the city and it is my preferred choice of footwear these days. Damn, I hate when he is spot on!

While walking about Boston’s popular shopping destination, Newbury Street, my eyes spotted the adidas x Concepts store. The collaboration between these two brands excited me. It is nothing short of cool. The space is defined by a minimal aesthetic that highlights the sneakers and apparel. The use of exposed brick, black steel, unique lighting, interactive graphics and music enhances the products and your shopping experience. It’s so great to see the streetwear culture in Boston continuing to evolve. The space is so refreshing and unique to Boston. Being able to really interact with the merchandise is so important. The sales staff is approachable and laid back with individual styles that compliment the whole aesthetic that adidas x concepts has created. Everything is so well displayed and the environment welcomes you to get playful. I found my inner gangsta while
trying on sneakers, track pants, and hoodies. I walked around thinking this is a store that takes no convincing to pop into with my husband. I’m thinking this could be the end of my allowance! Walked out with the ankle warming adidas by Stella McCartney Ultraboost X MID.

Karhu’s only US store can be found in my neighborhood, Harvard Square. Can you say jackpot?! The Finnish sneaker brand that offers nothing short of cool kicks in a wide array of colors. The old school color combos have me going places. I love the calm and understated presence of their style. Perhaps a nice alternative to the white sneaker as you head into the cooler seasons of the year. Yup, I do see a pair in my future! Besides being super cool, they are super comfortable.
Fun fact for ya: Where do you think Adidas found their stripes? Know your isostilo style.
