Shopping My Closet And Found A New Go-To Outfit

When it comes to dressing for a party, are you a pre-planner or do you throw something together last minute? I am not in the pre- plan camp. Getting dressed for me is absolutely based on my current mood. I always have a couple of go-to outfits of the season to relay on for the times I don’t feel creative. But when the creative mood strikes, it delights me.

Event: 70’s party

Mama duty had me 10 days house bound so shopping my closet was my only option. But I knew these jeans would be in the mix. Resulting in a new favorite look for myself. I did treat myself to a mani and hair appointment.

It is all about the denim:

I having been dying to wear these super fun denims with a wide elephant bell silhouette from B Sides. The jean has a super flattering fit with a slightly high natural waist. I particularly love the oversized relaxed style of these jeans through the hip and leg. Also love that they are not cropped. They easily can be dressed up or worn denim casual. Summer on the horizon has me visualizing them with a simple tank and flip flops.

Bit Of This & A Bit Of That

Cafe Style

Travel to Daluama Berlin with this Pinterest Pic. What I would do for this cafe to be in my neighborhood! Heading into the weekend with this image in mind. Remember to make time for yourself and to find that place which gives you a bit of space and peace.

Impact Update

Start thinking vintage. It’s always an option when it comes to your closet. Especially now! “The environmental impact of denim makes buying jeans problematic for eco-conscious shoppers. But more and more brands are developing innovative ways to lessen the damage”, sip your drink of choice and read more from this Guardian article

First Layer Fashion

Undergarments, something we can’t live without! Lululemon nailed it. I was a bit skeptical as the price makes one pause at $18 per pair. But they deliver in my opinion. Wear these as your second skin for their everyday function, simplicity, and comfort. Save the lace for those other cheeky occasions.

One To Watch

So much buzz about this movie. Simply put Marriage Story is about a marriage breaking up. It is real, raw, heart breaking, and relatable. Add it your weekend line up.

Stepping Into Spring OOTD

City living and keeping the look fresh and light is the goal.  Who doesn’t love the sweet spot before the summer temps strike?!  Yesterday’s look was all about being able to properly chill in the park.  Spring and all its glory is giving everyone a reason to dress with pops of color.  Darker tones can have a much deserved timeout.
